Shauna Clinning is a librarian by trade who lives in Canada. Before writing, she managed a public library and was the 2006 recipient of the Ontario Library Association’s Excellence in Youth Services Award. Her work has been published in The Globe and Mail, among others. Most recently, she was shortlisted for the 2022 Guernica Editions Prize for Literary Fiction and was a semi-finalist in the 2018 John Kenneth Galbraith Literary Award competition. Like the characters in her story, she enjoys discovering the umami in food, wine, and life.
